Player Background
Stilt-walking utility player who turned a Bananas tryout into a signature act
Dakota “Stilts” Albritton did not arrive through a conventional college-to-pro pipeline. He was pouring concrete when his mother tipped him off to a Bananas tryout; he showed up with stilts, accepted a hitting challenge and created the on-field character that has followed him ever since.
Background
The Savannah Bananas describe Albritton as their “World’s Tallest Hitter and Pitcher” and say he stands 10 feet tall. In a Disney+ interview, Albritton said he was working pouring concrete when his mother told him about a Bananas tryout; he brought his stilts, and Jesse Cole challenged him to try hitting while elevated. Albritton said that successful experiment was how “Stilts” was born.
