Player Background
Murray State third baseman whose 12 straight hit-at-bats preceded a 10-homer 2021 season
Bryson Bloomer packed two very different college bursts into his Murray State résumé. A shortened 2020 season featured one of the strangest hitting streaks on the roster—hits in 12 consecutive at-bats—before a full 2021 schedule turned into a 30-extra-base-hit power season.
Background
Bloomer hit .429 in 16 games in 2020 and, according to Murray State, recorded a hit in 12 straight at-bats, two shy of the NCAA record. He returned in 2021 to start all 56 games at third base, collecting 68 hits, 19 doubles and 10 home runs while driving in 46. Before Murray State, he hit .355 in 33 games at Lincoln Trail College.
