DR Meadows

Columbus State speed threat with a junior-college championship path behind him

DR Meadows did not take a straight-line route to Columbus State. His college path passed through Chipola and South Georgia State, adding a national championship team, all-conference recognition and a Gold Glove honor before his senior season became his strongest statistical year.

Background

Columbus State’s bio notes that Meadows was part of Chipola’s 2018 national championship team before earning Second-Team All-Conference and Gold Glove recognition at South Georgia State. In 2022 he hit .347 for Columbus State, scored 56 runs and stole 26 bases in 54 games. That same summer he played for Savannah in the Coastal Plain League and stole 26 bases in just 20 games, reinforcing the speed element that had already defined his college profile.
