Jackson Olson

Jackson Olson paired Hartford's first America East title with a 68-hit junior season and Scholar-Athlete honors

Jackson Olson's Hartford résumé is unusual because the academic record is as well documented as the baseball one: a conference championship, a 68-hit season and three eligible years on the America East All-Academic Team all sit in the same four-year run.

Background

Olson was part of Hartford's first America East championship team in 2018 and made the conference's All-Tournament Team as the Hawks advanced to the NCAA Tournament. In 2019 he started all 56 games, hit .306 and collected 68 hits, the third-highest single-season total in Hartford history at the time. He graduated with a 3.82 GPA in marketing after earning America East All-Academic honors in each of his three eligible seasons, and the conference named him its 2020 Baseball Scholar-Athlete. He then used a graduate season at Stetson while pursuing an MBA.
