Chase Achuff

All-South Region shortstop who also closed games out of the Rollins bullpen

Chase Achuff’s 2022 Rollins season looked like two jobs at once. He was an everyday shortstop and high-average hitter for a Rollins team that reached the Division II national semifinals, while also taking the ball in relief and finishing games.

Background

Achuff hit .371 with 88 hits, 56 runs, 18 doubles and 14 stolen bases in 60 starts for Rollins in 2022. He also made eight relief appearances, recorded seven saves and posted a 3.00 ERA in nine innings. That blend earned ABCA/Rawlings All-South Region First-Team recognition; Rollins also lists him as a CSC Second-Team Academic All-American, SSC Second-Team utility selection and All-Defensive Team shortstop.
